Daniel “Skip” Parks, LMHC, LCSW

Daniel “Skip” Parks received a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a Masters in Counseling from the University of Maine at Portland-Gorham. Skip is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Metal Health Counselor.

Skip worked as a Program Director at Harbor Schools and Family Services for twenty-seven years. He has extensive experience in dealing with aggressive acting out behavior, anger management, substance abuse, sexual abuse, conflict resolution, and crisis intervention.

As part of the faculty at Northern Essex Community College for many years and a consultant and trainer with Family, Adolescence and Children he has worked on issues focusing on developmental and education concerns for children and adolescents, family conflict, behavior management, and team building. This extensive experience and ten plus years at River Valley Counseling Service, where Skip was a founding member provides a solid counseling foundation for children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Skip is an Amesbury native, past president of the Amesbury Chamber of
Commerce, been a board member for many years, and has strong ties to the community.
