Patricia Wallerstein, MSW, LICSW

Patricia Wallerstein received a Bachelors of Science degree from Ithaca College in 1970 and a Masters In Social Work degree from Boston University in 1991. She earned her LlCSW, licensed independent clinical social worker and has been a part of River Valley Counseling Services, located in Amesbury, Massachusetts, since its beginning eleven plus years ago.

Patricia’s experience in mental health counseling runs the gamut from locked psychiatric inpatient units, alternative schools, residential and group home settings (for children and adolescents with emotional and “behavioral problems) and ultimately to private psychotherapy practice. Patricia works with many diverse populations and services children, adolescents, adults, families and couples.

She also has experience with the juvenile court system and serves as an outpatient resource for the Juvenile Justice program. In addition, Patricia has extensive experience dealing with issues such as the impact of divorce on children and their parents, anxiety and anger management, depression and grief … just to name a few.

She had been a member of the mental health provider community on the North Shore of Massachusetts for many years.
